OSCRE To all our Members
A message from the Chair
Stephen Spooner - OCSCRE Executive Chair

I am very pleased to announce that we have now completed the merger of PISCES and OSCRE Americas.

Retaining the name Open Standards Consortium For Real Estate (OSCRE), and our not for profit status, our unified global consortium can now fully realise the vision of maximising value in the real estate industry through open interoperability among real estate information systems; an effort founded on common business interests and internationally accepted information technology standards.

Operating as a global consortium mirrors the scope and business objectives of OSCRE members. Merging the operations and more closely integrating global standards development and adoption activities to match the increasingly global needs of the real estate industry was always a goal in PISCES and OSCRE Americas development. Now, having reached this milestone, we are eager to provide a setting where consortium members and strategic partners can gain new levels of efficiency and effectiveness.

OSCRE is a neutral table for your organisation, your competitors and your trading partners to achieve strategic and tactical goals. The aspiration that ‘OSCRE exists to bring value to your business’ must not be an abstract statement; it must be connected to real measurable goals and action plans.

Drawing from the deep experience of the PISCES and OSCRE Americas, OSCRE will be governed by a nine–person Board, supported by Strategic Advisory Groups led by principle Executive Members to align OSCRE to critical industry issues within and across real estate business domains.

Over the next few weeks we will be making a series of announcements, including introducing you to your Board of Directors, announcing re–aligned staff positions, priorities and exciting initiatives to support improved exchange of data for our industry.

Please be re–assured that we remain totally committed to delivering value to all our Members.

You may find that your Membership related questions are answered by our “Your questions answered” link from our new homepage, but as always, and especially during this transition, the communication and active engagement of all members is key.

Please feel free to contact me, or any of the OSCRE staff. We would be delighted so speak or meet with you
I look forward to speaking with each and every one of you soon.

Many thanks, Stephen Spooner
