RPUID is conceived to be a non-mnemonic, totally generic, alphanumeric code which is used for the purpose of linking the asset to all of the related assets, records, transactions and analysis from earliest conception onward throughout its useful life and beyond for as long as it is useful. Real property assets believed to require a RPUID are Land parcels, Buildings, Sub-buildings (like condos which are legal subsets), Structures and Linear assets (like utility lines, parking and roadways). It is conceived that RPUIDs would be assigned on request by a Registrar which would also maintain a registry of assigned IDs and fundamental identifying information. The RPUID Workgroup is developing an exchange standard for information presumed to be required for business processes related to Registration requesting, validation, dispute resolution and notifications for land parcels, buildings and structures. | |
