Useful Links
The purpose of Interest Groups is to exchange ideas about a potential new Standard and bring together sufficient industry support to develop it.

These Interest Group discussions define the scope and produce a Business Case to request a new Workgroup to develop, extend or update a Standard.
 
Joining an Interest Group - Membership is not necessary to join Interest Groups. Anyone can sign up by following the link on the relevant Interest Group page.

Commercial Information Exchange (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
The Commercial Information Exchange (CIE) Standard enables the exchange of commercial property information for lease or sale transactions between, for example, a broker and a listing service. 
Progress:
Standard v2.0 was published in May 2008. 
Commercial Introductions (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Exchanges that support introduction of commercial properties for sale from the perspective of the seller, prospective buyer, & their investment agents/advisors.
Progress:
Standard V1 was published in August 2007.
Commercial Property Information Exchange (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
The CPIE Standard enables bulk transfer of commercial portfolio information such as property descriptors, lease and tenant information, rent rolls and rent methods. CPIE is particularly applicable in the case of, for example, a portfolio sale or acquisition or accessing essential portfolio investment data.   
Progress:
Standard v1.0 was published May 2008.
e-Registrations (Workgroup in Progress) Region:EMEA
Description:

Exchanges required to submit requests and receive results from the Her Majesty Land Registry (HMLR) via the Business Gateway e.g. Search by Property Description, Title Known Official Copy, Official Search of Whole with Priority, Land Charge Bankruptcy Search and the e-CSF (electronic Charge in Standard Format).

Progress:

The Member Review 01 has been extended to coincide with the pilots run by the Land Registry. The pilot is likely to end in November 2009.

Facility Management Services - Phase 2 (Interest Group under discussion) Region:EMEA, Americas
Description:
The Work Request/Work Order Fulfilment (WRWOF) Standard focused on single demand-type work request and work order exchanges where a purchase agreement is in effect. The FM Services Phase 2 discussion is exploring options for extending the WRWOF specification to support additional commonplace work management processes such as preventive/planned maintenance, space moves/adds/changes, maintenance projects, facility assessment and related business processes such as M&O procurement, and M&O reference table synchronization.
Progress:
An Interest Group is being formed. OSCRE invites input on topics and priorities for development.

Home Information Pack (Workgroup in Progress) Region:EMEA
Description:
Exchanges that enable the production and delivery of a certified Home Information Pack (HIP) in a cost effective and timely way between key stakeholders by ensuring regulatory compliance.
Progress:
The Standard V2 is now open for PISCES Membership to review until the end of November 2009.
 
Investment Performance Reporting (Interest Group under discussion) Region:EMEA
Description:
The data exchange that will help the standardisation of the collation process for investment performance reporting data.
Progress:
This Interest Group is being lead by IPD. Following approval of the Business Case by the Board the Charter is now being prepared.
Investment Valuation (Workgroup in Progress) Region:EMEA
Description:
Enables the electronic exchanges required to produce an Investment Valuation Report.
Progress:
The Standard V1 being reviewed by the PISCES Membership. A test file with sample data is being prepared by Argus Software.

Lease Abstract Exchange (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
The Lease Abstract Exchange (LSAB) Standard v1.1 supports the automated exchange of condensed summaries of complete lease documents (ie: Lease Abstracts) among owners, brokers, leasors, portfolio managers and other stakeholders.  
Progress:
Standard v1.1 was published in January 2009. 
 
LSAB v1.1 is currently being extended to support ‘Green Leases’ which enhance typical operating and reporting requirements in order to reduce environmental and associated financial impacts on leased properties.  See Green Lease Abstract Exchange (GLSAB) Workgroup. 
Lease Abstract Exchange (Green Update) (Workgroup in Progress) Region:Americas
Description:
Increasingly, landlords and tenants are executing so called ‘Green Leases’ which enhance typical operating and reporting requirements in order to reduce environmental and associated financial impacts in leased properties
The Green Lease Abstract Exchange (GLSAB) Workgroup is extending the LSAB v1.1 specification for the purpose of supporting the exchange of 'Green Leases'. 
Progress:
The Workgroup is currently completing the Workgroup Draft of the Business Specification.  Member Review is scheduled for October 2009 with Public Release estimated for January 2010.

Lease Delivery and Summary (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Exchanges required to transfer of a newly granted Commercial Lease from a Legal Advisor to their Client or Client’s Agent e.g. Investor or Property Manager.
Progress:
The Standard V2.0 was published on 24th November 2008.

Lenders Conveyancing (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Develop exchanges that automate communication between the Conveyancer and Lender in a way that is accessible and conducive to widespread adoption thus facilitating faster and easier transactions.
Progress:
Standard Version 1.0 was published on 15th October 2007.
Occupancy Cost (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Exchanges required to support one or more cost frameworks that will enable the automation and standardisation of the occupancy cost data.
Progress:
Standard V2 was published in March 2008.
Portfolio Information Exchange (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Develop a Standard for transferring property and financial portfolio data between different property management systems.
Progress:
The PIE Standard V2 was published in January 2009.

Portfolio Management Reporting (Interest Group under discussion) Region:EMEA
Description:
Exchanges required to integrate property management systems for reporting to investors. Development of such Standards would bring efficiencies to Property Managers and Investors in the Netherlands.
Progress:
Led by ING Real Estate (in the Netherlands) the Charter document is being finalised and support from Property Managers and Investors is being sought.
Real Property Appraisal Reporting (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
The commercial appraisal standard supports key appraisal data exchanges between Appraisers and appraisal customers.  Based on the widely adopted Appraisal Institute (AI) Commercial Data Storage Standards (CDSS) and AI professional business practices, the standard provides thirteen appraisal schemata - one for each of the thirteen primary property types.
Progress:
Standard v1.0 was published in November 2008. 
Real Property Unique Identifier (Workgroup in Progress) Region:Americas
Description:
RPUID is conceived to be a non-mnemonic, totally generic, alphanumeric code which is used for the purpose of linking the asset to all of the related assets, records, transactions and analysis from earliest conception onward throughout its useful life and beyond for as long as it is useful.  Real property assets believed to require a RPUID are Land parcels, Buildings, Sub-buildings (like condos which are legal subsets), Structures and Linear assets (like utility lines, parking and roadways).  It is conceived that RPUIDs would be assigned on request by a Registrar which would also maintain a registry of assigned IDs and fundamental identifying information. 
The RPUID Workgroup is developing an exchange standard for information presumed to be required for business processes related to Registration requesting, validation, dispute resolution and notifications for land parcels, buildings and structures.
Progress:
Workgroup is preparing the Workgroup Draft version of the business specification.  OSCRE is seeking organizations to discuss and prototype the RPUID Registrar function. Interested organizations are invited to contact Alan Edgar
Residential Conveyancing (Standard Available) Region:EMEA
Description:
Develop Standards required to enable automation of communication between Conveyancers in a way that is accessible and condusive to widespread adoption and facilitates faster and easier transactions.
Progress:
Standard V1 was published in March 2008.
Space Classification Standard Code List (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
The Space Classification Code List (SPCL) contains a controlled list of names based on use type.  SPCL contains types generally found in commercial office-type properties and other property types which contain office spaces and is structured to support varying use of levels of classification detail while maintaining consistent aggregation.  The list is also coordniated with industry standards published by IFMA & BOMA for space measurement. 
Progress:
SPCL v1.0 was published in October 2007. 
Work Request & Work Order Fulfilment (Standard Available) Region:Americas
Description:
Facility operations have become complex; often involving multiple organizations using multiple applications participating in the Work Request & Work Order Fulfilment process. This Standard addresses the information exchanges between these various parties as they use their individual applications to support the WRWOF process.
Progress:
The WRWOF Standard was published in March 2008. 
 
The FM Services - Phase 2 Interest Group (see IG description for details) is begin formed to discuss extending the WRWOF specification to support additional commonplace work management processes such as preventive/planned maintenance, space moves/adds/changes, maintenance projects, facility assessment and related business processes such as M&O procurement, and M&O reference table synchronization.
