Scope: This Standard covers the delivery or transfer of a Commercial Lease from a Legal Advisor to their Client or Client’s Agent. This may occur following the grant of a new lease, or alternatively following the purchase of a property or the transfer of a superior interest for purposes of security on finance.

Summary of Changes: There have been two principal outcomes from the requests for change since the Standard was first launched. Firstly, the Lease Summary and the Lease Delivery were harmonised, and secondly, the Lease Summary has been subsumed into the Lease Delivery, with a revised ‘vanilla’ Adobe Lease form now being based on the newly harmonised Lease Delivery schema. Consequently, “Send Lease Summary” document has been removed as it is now a subset of, “Send Lease.” Also, four new Code Lists have been added: Bank Name, Lease Type, Region and Type of Charge, whilst Organisation and Party Type Code Lists have been amended.
